Mrs. Johnson has been teaching Spanish since 2007. She spent 10 years teaching at Nettleton High School before finding her ideal work environment at Westside. She has a passion for language and world culture and can't wait to share it with your child.
Every year Mrs. J works to improve upon her lessons from the previous year. Recently, she began teaching using an innovative method called Comprehensible Input, or CI. Through this method students become comfortable with the language through listening and speaking activities and less emphasis is put on grammar structures and writing activities. With this method students will gain proficiency more quickly and will have more confidence in their abilities, all while having fun learning! Mrs. J is excited to teach your child and share her love of language and culture! How do we learn the CI way? |
Mrs. Johnson is the mother of three children and wife of Derek, a software developer. She loves to travel and dabbles in crafting.
